Irish Writers on IMPAC Longlist 2010
The nominated Irish titles are:
The Secret Scripture by Sebastian Barry, nominated by libraries in Ireland, the UK, the Czech Republic, South Africa and the USA.
Netherland by Joseph O’Neill, nominated by libraries in Ireland, Austria, South Africa and the USA.
Two writers from the North of Ireland were also nominated,
The Truth Commissioner by David Park and,
Molly Fox’s Birthday by Deirdre Madden.
The International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award has unveiled its massive 2010 longlist. This year there are 156 novels on the list, nominated by 163 libraries in 43 countries. The Shortlist will be announced on 14th April 2010 whilst the eventual Winner will be unveiled on 17th June 2010.
