Online Services

Library Catalog

This gives access to the online catalogue allowing members to search and view or reserve items. To view the catalogue simply click on the link Search the Catalog. In My Account, information about current library tranactions can be viewed or checked out materials can be renewed. Your Library User I.D Number and Personal Identification Number (PIN) are required to use this section. They can be obtained from a member of staff at any time.

Clipper Audio Books

This service allows you to connect to "Clipper Downloads" via the NetLibrary website. Here you can download and listen to over 600 AudioBooks on your personal computer or portable media player.
To initially use this service you must register with NetLibrary whilst logged on to any of our public computers throughout our five branch Libraries.

Once registered as a current member you will need to remember your unique user name and password to access this resource. You can then access this service from any computer (library or home) and proceed to download the relevant material required.

This is a new edition of Britannica OnLine with (BOL) with many enhancements based on the School Edition so has lots of features useful to children and students. The Student version covers the same group as World Book, namely teenagers ages 12 - 18, and here you have the advantage of one below it, Britannica Junior aimed at ages 5 - 11, and one above it, Encyclopaedia Britannica, which has all the advanced features of the Academic Edition of BOL as used by  many businesses and universities. Vision-Net Database

Vision-Net gives you immediate web access to the original documents as filed in the Irish Companies Registration Office. With Vision-Net you can view and print the actual scanned images of Audited Company Accounts, Changes in Directors, Allotments of Shares, Mortgages or Charges and all recent documents filed in the C.R.O. This Database can only be accessed from  Public Computers on the library network. Irish Times Digital Archive

The Irish Times Digital archive contains exact reproductions of all articles published by the Irish Times from 1859 onwards up to present day. Because of the workload involved in reproducing daily editions in digitized formats and uploading them to the site, you may find that the previous week’s daily editions (from the current date) are inaccessible.
